Nutraceutical Account Manager (B2B Ingredients Sales)
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Job Type: Full-Time (Onsite preferred; remote may be considered for highly qualified candidates)
Compensation: $60,000 – $75,000 base salary + commission (commission plan provided at offer)

We are a global supplier of botanical extracts, herbal raw materials, and functional ingredients used by manufacturers in the dietary supplement, food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. Our customers buy ingredients in bulk for use in production and rely on us for consistent supply, quality documentation, and long-term partnerships.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Nutraceutical Account Manager to support and grow customer relationships across North America. This is a B2B industrial ingredient sales role (bulk raw materials/ingredients). It does not involve retail/consumer product sales.
You’ll work directly with manufacturers, contract manufacturers, purchasing teams, and product development/R&D to guide accounts through sampling, qualification, and commercialization. Success in this role requires direct nutraceutical ingredient sales experience and working knowledge of medicinal herbs/botanicals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business with manufacturers and contract manufacturers (North America)
- Manage and grow existing accounts through proactive outreach and project follow-up
- Respond to RFQs, pricing requests, and product availability inquiries
- Coordinate and track samples, evaluations, and customer feedback
- Provide product specifications, COAs, technical documentation, and supporting material
- Partner with Quality/Regulatory/Supply Chain to meet customer requirements
- Support customers through vendor qualification and approval processes
- Maintain accurate project tracking, forecasts, and communication notes in CRM or internal tools
- Resolve customer questions, order follow-ups, and issue escalation as needed
- Attend trade shows and customer meetings as required
Required Qualifications (Must-Have):
- Direct experience in nutraceutical ingredient sales (bulk raw materials/ingredients)—not finished consumer product
- Knowledge of medicinal herbs/botanicals (common ingredient applications, terminology, and customer use cases)
- Minimum 2 years experience in B2B sales/inside sales/account management in an ingredient/raw material/industrial supply environment
- Experience working with manufacturing, industrial, or distribution customers
- Strong organization and follow-up skills; comfortable managing multiple projects and long sales cycles
- Ability to understand and communicate technical documentation (spec sheets, COAs, quality documentation)
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. at time of hire (no visa sponsorship now or in the future)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ingredient/raw material sales experience in botanical extracts, food ingredients, specialty chemicals, or industrial supply
- Familiarity supporting Purchasing, Quality, Regulatory, and R&D stakeholders
- Degree or coursework in biology, chemistry, nutrition, or food science (helpful, not required)
- Experience using CRM tools and managing forecasts/pipelines/Sales Force
Not a Fit For:
- Roles focused on retail sales, consumer wellness retail, or selling finished supplements directly to consumers
- Experience limited to pharmaceutical rep sales without ingredient/raw material B2B experience
Work Environment:
This position is ideally based onsite in our Santa Ana office for training and team collaboration. Remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates with strong ingredient-industry experience.
